Institute - Michigan State University
This
Institute brought together 24 professional cultural heritage workers
selected by South African representatives on the binational advisory
committee, plus six academics from Historically Black Colleges and
Universities in the United States for an intensive three-week training
curriculum in museums, public history, project management, cultural
heritage issues, and networked technologies. Participants attended
sessions at Michigan State University, the Chicago Historical Society,
and the Smithsonian Institution, plus field trips to observe heritage
programs in applied settings.
