Ms. Deirdré Prins (Educational Programmes & Materials Development Coordinator, Robben Island Museum) and Ms. Carohn Cornell (Heritage trainer) Comments by Dr. Leslie Witz (Robben Island Heritage Studies Training Programme) and Dr. Cynthia Kros (Heritage Programme, Graduate School for Humanities and Social Sciences, University of the Witwatersrand)

This was a capstone session for the workshop. The facilitators, Deidre Prins and Carohn Cornell, framed oral history training issues as questions for the major institutions responsible for heritage sector development, and broke the workshop participants into three groups to consider them. The groups reported back to the general session. Each of the questions was detailed for each group:

Group 1. South African Heritage Resources Agency and smaller museums: With 100 hours over six months for training, what curriculum would you propose and how would you implement it?
